The new MUSEUM OF CONFLUENCES
(Marrakesh, Marocco)
Since
their very creation, the Mucem and the National Foundation of Museums
of Morocco have been closely linked by an agreement between the two
institutions with a view to setting up exchanges of expertise in terms
of scientific research and training. After
12 months of renovation, Dar El Bacha, the sumptuous palace and
new museum space in the Ochre City, was inaugurated
with the Mucem's 2015 show, "Shared Sacred Sites". The
exhibition shows the commonalities between Christians, Jews and
Muslims, providing evidence of the shared history of exchange,
tolerance, and unity between the three religions.
